Orleans Homes offers Luxury Living in Hawthorn Woods

July 30, 2014

Nestled amid the established Thornfield Meadows community, just east of Old McHenry Road and south of Milton Road in Hawthorn Woods, Orleans Homes introduces an exclusive enclave of just seven one-acre homesites.

The prestigious Lake County destination for growing families, Thornfield Meadows is surrounded by majestic trees and features a neighborhood park with tennis courts, playground and walking trails. The community is served by Lake Zurich Spencer Loomis School District 95 and the award-winning Hawthorn Woods Park District offers programs for children, adults and seniors and includes an aquatic center with water slides, competition lap pool and zero-depth pool. Golfers will enjoy the Hawthorn Woods Country Club just west of the community and Kemper Lakes Golf Club to the south in Kildeer.

According to Bob Meyn, director of sales and marketing for the Midwest Division of Orleans Homes, a lengthy interest list has led to pre-sales taking place prior to opening this fall.

“To answer the overwhelming interest in these seven homesites, we’ve decided to conduct pre-sales from our Sanctuary Club community in nearby Kildeer,” Meyn said. “Family-oriented buyers want to be part of the established Thornfield Meadows community and we are giving them that opportunity. They can visit Sanctuary Club and learn more about Thornfield Meadows while seeing firsthand, as they tour the Thurleston model, the quality and craftsmanship that goes into every Orleans home.”

Priced from the $600,000s, homes at Thornfield Meadows will range from 3,636 to over 4,239 square feet with four bedrooms, 2 ½ to four baths, full finished or unfinished basements and two or three-car garages.

The 3,666-square-foot Thurleston floor plan with first-floor owner’s suite will be offered at Thornfield Meadows and is open for touring at Sanctuary Club.

A charming covered front porch welcomes guests to the Thurleston and leads to an elegant foyer with volume ceiling. The formal dining room with tray ceiling is to the one side of the foyer, while a flex room, ideally suited as a home office or guest bedroom, is to the other side. The flex room has private access to a full hall bath.

The spacious great room, which is open to the island kitchen with walk-in pantry and breakfast room, creates a perfect entertaining space.

A luxurious owner’s suite includes an expansive walk-in closet and private bath with soaking tub, separate shower and double-bowl vanity.

Upstairs, two of the three secondary bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath while the other bedroom and large loft share a hall bath.

“The Thurleston offers flexible living space which today’s buyers appreciate more than ever,” Meyn said. “For example, the first-floor flex room with private bath access makes a great in-law retreat or in-home office. The upstairs loft can be designed to include a fifth bedroom with additional bathroom or serves as a child’s play area or teen homework hub. A spacious bonus room above the garage can also be added to the Thurleston.”
